Leo Kosokowsky started AgMpower in 2006 to provide an economical way for farmers to evaluate, measure and improve their own farms and farm management skills. It also improves the quality of time spent with advisors.

The website www.agmpower.ca is a farmer friendly website that will assist in the development and tracking of farm plans every year. The crop budgets and overhead expenses are easy to put together and gives immediate answers regarding target prices and farm efficiency.

Farmers and consultants can review the profitability, cash surplus and efficiency of their farms and compare themselves to others by size, crop district and soil zones.

Advisors (with access rights) can get information about the farm and even export to their own programs. This is a way to make advisors more efficient.

Provide assistance to clients in developing and defining goals. Measure cost of production, then compare to industry averages and best practises. Analyze strategic options and prepare financial projections for decision-making and lending requirements. This service is provided with software I developed to filter operations down to individual enterprises (crop, beef, hogs, turkeys etc.) for break-even and investment projection scenarios.

1998 - 1999   Territory Sales - United Grain Growers

Increased crop supply sales by introducing anhydrous ammonia delivery and custom spraying to the location. Duties included promoting marketing programs and encourage grain purchases.

1993 - 1998   Manager - Starlite Agro Ltd.

Managed A New Fertilizer Dealership which captured an estimated market share of 30% by its 2nd year. Success is directly attributed to providing service, information and value to the customer. Personal contact, quarterly newsletters and educational days improved agricultural practices in the area and dealership sales. Managing Starlite Agro included; sales, billing, collection, hiring and managing employees and promotion within community.

1989 - 1992   Sales Representative - Monsanto Canada Inc.
(Manufacturer of Crop Protection Products)

Roundup sales were 151% over the previous two years. Awarded in 1990 for "Outstanding Contribution Toward the Success of the District". Responsibilities were to ensure customers, retailers and distributors were satisfied and motivated to buy.

Additional accomplishments:

www.allstarag.ca - is a website developed as part of the Executive Farm Club to allow members to load farm plans and actual records into. The website provides farm analysis and benchmarking of their farm by size, location and soil zone. This website is being offered to all farmers on an annual subscription basis to assist their farm management ability.

Executive Farm Club - In 2005, I organized a management club of 10 non-local farmers to meet 3 - 4 times per year to discuss and compare farm management issues and practises. Full financial disclosure on a per acre basis is required of each member.

Northern Fringe Marketing Club - In 1993, I organized 12 local farmers to meet bi-monthly during winter months to improve members' agronomic and managerial skills. As chairman until 2005 the club purchased a weigh wagon to encourage research trials, 2 landrollers and has grown to 30 members.

Farm involvement - I now rent out my 600 acre farm and offer my assistance to clients during the seeding and harvest seasons to operate their large machinery. I maintain a 1A license as well as a mechanical aptitude.

CAFA member - (Canadian Association on Financial Advisors) - I started a Prince Albert chapter in 2005 and continue as chair.
